    Default New Rod

I recently ordered a new rod blank from mudhole.com and just wanted to share my experience with the board. If you guys are in the market or are interested in building your own rod then this place is top notch.

I am new to rod building and didnt know much just what I was looking for in a rod (a sensitive rod but with a backbone, something i can shoot docks with or cast at the bank). I called them up told them what I was looking for and they gave me several options and the pros and cons to all. I ordered there new MHX rod blank in a 7' with titanium guides and St. Croix handle and recieved it today.

I will be tying up the rod this weekend and report further, but as of now it seems like exactly what I want.

Finally got my new rod all done and the titanium eyes really cast smooth glad I talked myself into spending the extra few bucks on them.

Sorry ykk my camera is on the fritz and I dont have pics yet but as soon as I do I will post them.

I dont know if this matters to anyone else but the rod weighs 94 grams complete. The reason I mention this is because I have a couple of Mitchell Zero Gravity rods that are ultra sensitive (but very brittle) and I was looking for a rod to compete with these sensitivity wise. The zero gravity weighs in at 90 grams. Although the weight is comparible I'm not sure if the sensitivity is. Its gonna take some fishing with the rod for me to know, and that is something I havent been able to do much of latley.
