went this past saturday and the lake was still very muddy. fish were deep and were holding tight to structure. surface temp was a chilly 39 degrees. had to keep breaking the ice off my rod tips. the fish are going to be very sluggish i would think. but any ways good luck and let us know how it goes.

    Default Sinclair Jan 13

Fished Sinclair yesterday. My first observation was driving over the second bridge at Twin Bridges. The cove to the left of the 2nd bridge was completely iced over and the ice continued out into the Little River about 1/4 of the was across. I also had problems with the eyes of my rods icing over for the first couple of hours. The water temp started out at 39 and got up to 42 in the PM. We had five decent crappie in the live well at 3 pm and finally found a spot in Rooty Creek where there was some action. It was just too cold in the morning and I think the sun and higher air temp in the pm help stir them up some just before we called it quits. We added 19 more to the catch in 1 hr & 15 minutes. Left for the day and I hope to get back on the lake friday.

Big Ed at the store on 441 says they been catching some in Rooty Creek. Talked to him today on the way to Oconee, he said they are hitting acid rain with a pink head (Ha Ha). Me and my father will try tommorrow afternoon in Rooty Creek or downstream from the Steam Plant for some warmer water to fish. New to fishing Sinclair.
PS Fished up the Apalachee on Oconee today with several boats. No bites from anyone. Water temp is 38 degrees. Super chilled water.

For sure Big Ed will always say Rooty Creek- Acid Rain wit a pink head. Yesterday he had a new one for me he did also say Bad Blood. I couldn't make them want much of anything yesterday. In the back of the creek it is still cold and muddy. It was warmer and cleaner out in the main creek. Did catch a few about 2:30 and had to go at 3:30 when it was just getting right. Good luck to Papa Dawg wish I could go today. No fishing partner!!!

Joe and I will be checking out Twin Bridges tonight (late)

Had to cancel my Florida trip due to impending weather. 90% chance of Heavy Rain in the area of my intended trip.

Will try tonight on some of those crappie condo's we dropped about 6 weeks back.
