Thread: Blackshear Drawdown

Went to Blackshear today and tried to put in at Cedar Creek. Suprise!! The lake is down about five feet. We put in at Smoak Bridge. Marked a ton of fish on the south end near the dam. The bite was on finally mid afternoon. Caught about 45 brought home 20. Drop shot in 30 ft of water about 12 ft down. Caught two at a time a couple of times. Maybe Rusty or Papa has additional information on how long the draw down is going to last. Only saw about four other boats so somebody got the word. Pretty day on the lake and it was good to get out.

They had to let the lake down in anticipation of the water coming downstream from the storm we just encountered, it will peak today, and the lake will come back to full pool by early next week, per Crisp Co. Dam, the way they talked a heap a water was gonna be flushed through this week end. It's not a winter draw down just temp..
