Are you wanting to implement a statewide 10" limit? Or do you have a few lakes in mind?

I have no problem supporting a 10" limit on some lakes, but I will not support a statewide 10" limit on crappie.

I would think on a few lakes to start as a pilot program. It may not be feasible to do this statewide. That is what I am seeking input for. The letter can be changed at this point to support the views of the majority.

Do you have some ideas as to which lakes would be the best to implement this? Maybe we should approach this in a similar fashion as striper size limits.

    Default No more regulations.

I will not support any additional regulations. We have enough rules and regulations to go by already. Next we'll have a season for fishing and only be able to fish at certain times of the year.

I would recommend Oconnee/Sinclair since they are centrally located, have good infrastucture ( plenty of ramps, nearby motels, eating places...etc). Also they share the same river system and both a large enough that with a 10" limit they would be a dynamite fishery along the lines of Talquin. Maybe West Point and Clarks Hill at a later date if the idea takes hold and shows that it is working.

I am sure that you will get a dozen different recommendations for lakes.

This is a study of 5 lakes that imposed lenght or creel limits and has proven that lenght limits will make for the same amount and better quality fish in the three year old range.
