Shot docks thursday, good day, kept 51. We had to work hard to get under any docks as the water was very high. On friday we trolled (Rooty Creek)and kept 37. Thye bit good early but slowd down about mid day. Had some rain but we stuck with it. Got to rest today. Worn out.
Shootin on Sinclair shore produces some numbers. Any size to em Dawg. A bunch of dinks on Tobo lately.
good deal Papa Dawg! way to go get'em
The fish under the docks were much bigger than the ones we caught trolling. I didn't weight any of them but the dock crappie ran from 3/4 to 1 & 1/4 lb. Trolling we caught crappie that we 8-11 inches long (we measured some of them just to see what we had) and i/m guessing 1/2lb average.
nice catch
nice catch
The fishing was good,it was the catching that was bad
Why in the world would you troll if you can catch fish that size under the docks at Sinclair?
what colors r do the best??
AUTiger - sometimes I ask myself that question. I do like to troll. We went back tuesday to shoot docks and caught 61. They were slow and small early but as the day got warmer so did the bite and the size of the Crappie. The water level is down about a foot from last week so it's muck easier to fine docks to shoot.
Crappie Pro - we used a variety of colors but blue/chartreuse and yellow/White/chartreuse did well. Green/Orange was good.
