I did like Tony did, had another beer, heck I several more Tony, finally move a few things around to break even on the federal and got a little fishing money back from the state. Try to claim my pets as dependents but I lost their Social security card. Wanted to change their name to Poncho and Josa maybe that would give me a bigger return having to illgeal ones as dependents.
I choose not to but there is plenty of ways you can milk/cheat the system with so called write offs. I know plently of people that make alot less money than me and yet get big returns back on their taxes every year. Its just a matter of how far your willing to go to get out of paying taxes. I've only been out of college for 5 years but this was the first year I got anything back and it was only from the 8k, 1st time home owner tax credit.
Getting a refund just means you paid in more than you owed. This applies to people who make $20,000 a year and people who make $20 million a year.
Anybody who does this is playing with fire. It's fine to avoid taxes with legitimate deductions, but evading taxes using illegal means and questionable deductions is a recipe for disaster. You'll get audited and end up paying penalties and interest on top of the additional tax.
Good for you. It'll be very difficult to post here if you're in Leavenworth.![]()

that is why I have the cpa that I have. He does not take any shortcuts and if I do get audited he will stand behind me all the way. There are a lot of cpa's out there that will do anythiing that you ask but it will only lead to a audit. I don't think that 2+2=5 or whatever I want it to be that is why I paid so much in taxes this year. It is not that I want to pay them but I'm not a person that cheats neither. It is about the only thing that I can sleep good about at night. I don't lie, cheat or steal. I may not be much more.
