Apology to a friend!
Rusty I am sorry to have hurt you by my post a few weeks ago after Slabfest.
I was just trying to get those guys recognized. It was not your fault. You ask everyone there what to do and did what the majority wanted. I was not there and should have sent you a private message about it. You worked very hard to make it a great event and it was except for one little mixup. You did your very best and nothing else. I want to thank you for all you have done for slabfest and all of us here on crappie.com I believe you to have one of the biggest hearts of anyone I have ever known.
When I said the only problem we had at Slabfest was blackshear I meant that we have only had a few problems. none of which are your fault. they just happened at blackshear. I didn't know it was upsetting you. I didn't mean to hurt you and in no way did I run your name into the mud. you all know I say things as they come from my pea brain. what doesn't seem like bad statement to me might to others.
I need you as a friend and we need you to help keep Slabfest going well into our futures. Please don't forsake something great because of my post. I am from the bottom of my heart sorry for anything I might have said to shed a bad light upon you. We all know you are one of the better members on crappie.com. I miss your post and phonecalls every few days. Please I beg of you to forgive me.
thanks
Smitty

I could have sent you a pm but I feel you deserved an open apology since the post were in an open forum
