I went to use my phone this morning and no service. I knew it wasn't becasue of the bil because I just had paid it. I called Verizon and found out that there is a service iteruption in the Georgia area. I am seriously thinking about going to a trac phone. Let me know what ya'll think about the pay as you go programs.
Rusty, I have had many different cell phone providers and Verizon is the best by far! Mine hasn't had an intteruption in service today. Probably something with your local tower which they may be leasing from Utility Services Inc. If the particular tower lease isn't paid, UTI will send a tech to disconnect them from it leaving you with no signal but the other paid towers will still fuction. Same as when we dont pay our bill.
Pay as you go phones can get veeerrry expensive if not used within the terms of the contract and with much less dependabilty. I wouldn't go changing unless its finacially motivated and you dont talk much! IMHO
I have a Tracfone and I haven't had any service since Wednesday that I know of. I don't use mine very often so I don't know how long it has not had any service. I live in southeast Georgia
i to have been having problems with my cell phone. i have verizon and sicne they brought that other company i have had nothing but troubles with it. i use to get servie out were i work at and now i dont. i to have been thinking baout changing companies.
I have AT&T and its not much better at times. score has called me and it said it had been disconnected but I called him right back. happens a good bit lately. sometimes it says I missed a call but I know I didnt as it was sitting right next to me.
I can tell you, as a business owner we have had several different carriers. The best phone service in this area is Verizon. Not necessarily best customer service, but best phone service. I travel all over the state and to me the most important thing is phone service.
To heck with work, lets go fishing.
Hello Rusty, I have a tracphone and have had it for a couple of years with no problem. I only use it for work when I am on the road and like john said it can get expensive if you use it a lot. I think it is ten cents a minute. I pay 128.00 dollars for 800 minutes but that last me about a year and a half only using it for work. if you are going to use it all the time I suggest Sun Com. I was paying 39.95 for eight hundred min, plus ten anytime numbers that I could call without it being deduceted from my minutes. that was a good deal, wish I had kept it and I had no problems with them. hope this helps. Verizon....................give them some time to get the Alltel acquisition worked out and it will be better.......had a few dropped calls too but still better than anything I have tried the last several years
