Default Need Your Memories of Slabfests ASAP

I am now trying to cimpile a bunch of memories of past Slabfest. The reason for this is that I am going to make a small book or something and send it to Ed Moes. I want Ed to see one of the great things he is responsible for. If ya'll would is all I need you to do is post here all of the fond memories of the past Slabfest. I will then compile all of them together with a few pictures and send it to Ed. I will not be sending this to Ed until after the Fall Slabfest Oct 10th here on Blackshear. I will have this available for anyone to view at the Slabfest. Please start posting now.

The one that comes to mind is the boat sinking incident by Bruce. Since I was away from the campground at the time someone else will have to tell the story. I think shinerunner can tell it the best.

So much was going on trying to keep it afloat, I can't remember all the details. There was a quote from the Captain of the vessel that I won't ever forget..........
"SHE IS GOING DOWN BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Don't ever want to hear that quote again in my life! The fear and dispare in his voice and on his face gave me nightmares for weeks!!!!!!!!

As for the best memory of any SlabFest was West Point a few years back when my oldest son (Jonathan aka Bearing Buddy) and I won the tournament in some of the coldest & windiest weather I have ever seen in March. Watching him strut around with his chest poked out like a tom turkey with his winnings was priceless.

I can't remember his name....but at Harding he showed us how not to properly board a boat from the dock. Stepped out onto the bow of the boat and the boat slid out from under him. He went tumbling into the water. Never will forget that.
