Interesting article. Personally, I don't see where it helped the population though. I herd lots of stories of people raping the lake once the levels got low. "like shooting fish in a barrel". I can see where the new vegetation helps. I guess we'll see what happens.

well wes, raping lakes happens at everylake. There is always going to be those people but I would have to agree with the article. This spring there were very few reports of big catches due to the water level coming up at that time. what was the bank one day was 15 feet from shore a few days later therefor most just couldnt stay on top of them. Not a lot of die hards on lanier that follow the fish from day to day to be able to catch a limit much less 2 or 3 limits. like that trip we made where we caught 200 fish from 3 docks but very few were found ON THE BANK where the should have been. I truly think these next couple of years are going to be great on lanier but I guess we will have to let time tell if it happens.
