Is Everyone OK???

How is everyone doing? With the hot summer the fishing has been slim. Now that we are about to get into some better fishing weather, is everyone getting into the right mind set? Let's hear how you all have been preparing for the upcoming fall/winter/spring fishing season.

I, for one, have been just been hoping to make the October slabfest at Blackshear. Finances may keep me from that, but I am looking at every angle. GA. Slabmasters would be great, but this year will probably be a no-go. Maybe next year. The economy is going to make me stay closer to home with the exception of maybe a late winter/early spring trip to Oconee. Will be able to cut my expenses by staying with family in that area.

I sure have not been catching any slabs lately but me and my dad have been doing great with the bream and catfish lately. Jim, I hope this fall Slabfest will be another great one. Of course there is no money involved with the Slabfest but I can almost say that at the fall Slabfest no one will go home without some type of something. Can't say what cause its still in thte works.

Just been shooting docks. Caught some good uns last Friday and some better ones on Saturday. Just trying to keep my mind on what dem crappies want and where they gonna go when they move.....

Well i been restoring Smitty's old (turd bucket) boat and droppng a lot of bamboo condos late at night this summer in deep water... Also checking up on them for holding capacities and its looking good...Hoping for a big payoff but it sure has been a lot of work...it seems as though the stripers have taken them over but maybe its temporary? Got a whole lot more to set out, all these will be in trolling waters...Cant wait to see yall again
