With my fingers crossed!
Well guys, this is my "new crappie fishing machine" and with my fingers crossed, she'll be a gem when I'm finished. Bought it today with plans of refinishing it by the time cooler weather arrives this year. Wish me well and we'll be naming her when I'm finished with the war paint. Hope to see everyone soon on the lake.

good luck with it . hope you have her on the water soon

Don't look like it needs much work to be ready.

We redid a 1965 Tri Hull and I have never been prouder of any boat before or after. Have you ever redone one? Good luck.

Update on boat.
Thanks for the comments everyone. I've opened a can of worms with this project. I knew purchasing the boat that it would need the floors replaced, but once you remove a section, you'd have to remove another section that was damaged underneath. At the moment, it has been gutted completely and the transom has been replaced. The foam insulation was partially soaked and had to be removed. I've since float tested the boat to check for leaking rivets and have cleaned the floor to prep for a rubberized sealant. I'll post pictures as this project takes shape. Rollcaster............

Looks just like mine, I am looking forward to seeing what you do with it. I am replacing the floor in mine but just not sure what I want to do with it.

Update on project.
Well, I'm not where I would like to be on the project, but it is still progressing. After walking away for a couple of weeks, and with all the rain days mixed in for fun, this is pictures of the boat through its steps. I'll post more pics in another post.

More updated pictures of project.
On the downhill side and actually replacing the guts of this project. With the cooler temps and rain, this project will be cut short and some of the improvements of a larger livewell and bait tank, and a updated steering console with instrument panel will be postponed until summer 2010. I just want to fish some this year. Thanks for looking and wish me well. Rollcaster..............

i'm really impressed, wow!! are you going back the with same motor?

Skintback, unfortunately, I'm gonna have to use the Merc that came with the boat. It's only a 35hp but it runs well. The boat is rated for a 70hp and within a year or so, I'll upgrade to a 50hp or bigger. Lack of funds and the need to purchase batteries and another depth finder ranks higher than horsepower this year. At least it's starting to look like a boat again. Thanks for the response.
