Default Weekend at Talquin

Had too many things going on this weekend, so I had to fish in shifts..We didn't catch any great numbers but did manage to pull in some real nice fish Saturday morning trolling in Boy Scout Creek. We found most of them in 7-11 fow trolling at 1.0-1.2 mpg. Yellow jigs seemed to be a good color for us and yellow/white with a red tail(Bad Blood) worked very good. Bite was slow Saturday afternoon for us but there were some reports of drifting minnows in the back of the creeks about 3-4 ft under a cork was productive. The water is till stained up and the temp averaged around the 70 degree mark. The lilly pads are starting to open up and with a few more warmer mornings the Shellcrackers should start up. A few of them also showed up this weekend. Was good to meet Bulldog1 at the lake this weekend. Also on the way home, I had the opportunity to meet Papasage for the first time. Was a pleasure to meet both of these gentlemen this weekend.
