Default Some "salty" crappies!

Got back down to Keaton Beach, FL this weekend and fished for trout/reds and went scalloping. Weather turned out ok and the fish were fairly willing. Caught a mix of trout, flounder, sea bass, blue fish, puffers, ladyfish, and even a small cobia and small grouper! The scallops were some of the biggest as far as meat in the shell than I have ever seen. Great time with a couple friends and the boat worked out great on the flats. Will be heading back soon as I can. I know this belongs on the salt water board, but not much happening on here since the heat has slowed things down. Here's a couple pics.

They do eat good! White meat fillets just like crappies. Those rod holders worked out great for just keeping the fish from taking the rods over the side. To much grass on the surface to troll but we did discuss going farther off shore since the wind was down and trying for some spanish slow trolling some spoons.....but ran out of time. October till next May is a good time to go. There are rental rooms, rental homes, and a couple condos available down there. Keaton Beach Marina website is the best place to get info.
