Talking Lanier last night in 4 mile creek

Went fishing last night in 4 mile at Lake Lanier keeping to the deeper water in the creek channel fishing with minnows from Hammonds at 10 feet in 35 feet of water over brush piles. Caught 16 but only 5 keepers. I only fished for about 4 hours because it started to rain. It was only supposed to be a 20% chance of rain but I got all 20% of it. The pictures shows the 2 biggest ones a 1.0lb & 1.3lb.

Are you fishing at night with lights? I used to fish the six mile creek bridge at night a lot. THen for some reason it got real bad. Are you fishing the mouth of the creeks? I just moved back to Buford and am going to start doing some night time crappie fishing. Any suggestions this time of year? I live over by the dam so would probably fish the shoal creek area. I am a little hesitant to run the boat at night with the water so low.

Yes I'm fishing at night at the mouth of creeks keeping close to the creek channels fishing with minnows about 10 feet deep in about 35 foot of water. Smart man for staying in an area that you are familiar with while the lake levels are low and getting lower. I do the same thing that's why I stick with 4 mile & 6 mile creek. The bridge at 6 mile is too shallow right now for the summer time crappie, but you can still get lucky some nights.
