Default Oconee - 8/14

Hit oconee/lick creek thursday night... Got my condos out and setup just before dark. Bite was pretty slow but steady all night. Brought home around 60 crappie and no tellin how many catfish. Biggest crappie was 1lb 4 oz. Nice night to be on the water and we caught about what I figured we would with it being a full moon. Never had much luck on full moons.

Here's a pic of my new condos and a couple of decent fish..

I hereby ban you from any further fishing up there due to the fact that I am jealous.

Just kidding of course. Sounds like a decent catch.

Looks like I'm going to have to start fishing in your neck of the woods. With the way water levels are going in Lanier and Clarks hill I may have to find a new lake to fish. You're making it hard to stay away.

I have not been to Oconee in awhile. I usually stick with Lanier & Allatoona. You are making me thinking about a night stalk at Oconee. Where about on Oconee do you like to fish?

I fish all over the south end of the lake Knot. This time of year you should be able to catch plenty of fish pretty much anywhere at night. Mouth of creeks where they dump into the river channel is what I usually target. Any humps along the river channel are great spots too. 30-60' water is where I usually fish.
