I talked to J.C. about a week ago owner of jiffy jigs and he said that he was considering starting jj tournaments again on lake oconee, certainly hope so...They were at juniors on 44 the new place doing a jig order stock for the store ...maybe some of you could encourage him if you order jigs from his company in vidalia...

slab........Thanks for the heads up. Between JC at Jiffy Jigs and Tom at Tom's Jigs, there use to be some great 7 to 15 boat open crappie tourneys on Oconee. You can really learn a lot from the guys in these tournaments, not to mention how much knowledge you can pick up about the lake and it's seasonal patterns. Let us know slabchaser, if you hear any more news about it.

I see this this being a lot more viable in the future instead of these national tourneys,with the way gas and all are these days. A lot of people are rethinking their way of fishing and staying closer to home. I think a state wide tourny trail would do good at this point.
