Anyone gonna be on B'shear this weekend? Thinking of going tomorrow afternoon early enough to throw a beetlespin and let the boys cast a while and then try to figure out somewhere to put out some lights. Looks to be cooler tomorrow evening than usual. May make a difference?
I would if I could Dan...Leaving for Talquin tomorrow morning...No fishing this weekend, just doing some work for the Fall...Gotta make a list of what all the camper needs so I can take it with me the next trip..Need to take some measurements on putting a porch the length of the camper with a tin roof..Hopefully next weekend I can make it back down to Blackshear. Dan wish I could but is working all weekend..yuck..has to recoupe my loses I spent last weekend at Tybee Island. Would had rather been @ Bshear anyway. Dont you, the boys and dragonfly catch all of them ok
well, we didn't go this afternoon/evening but do plan to be there hopefully at daylight and probably quit when it gets too hot. Gonna deep troll a litte towards the dam and then hunt down some bluegills on some beetlespins.
Did get out there this A.M. and found some willing fish till the sun got up good. Black/blue/chart did it again. Liking that 4lb test pline. Getting down 15' even at 1.0mph. Fish are thick body for this time of year. Can't wait till they move back up some more and the weather cools off. Gonna be some good fish to catch. The river was still 3 degrees warmer than the southern end. Pretty good stain up river but could have been from all the ski boaters. Dodging boaters up river was worse than dodgin stumps at talquin! Guess they haven't seen that big gator up there!!!
