Wink Hey Slingshot ...

you can look in the "Archives" forum ... there's two threads in there, concerning the story behind the names of many of our members.

Thumbs up

My partner and I were fishing a farm pond in Camellia, Ga one day. He went to set the hook in this monster of a bass. I lay my pole on the back of the boat to get the net. My lure was about 4 feet down in the water. He missed the bass, so I sat down to reel my line in and caught a 4-6 lbs bass. He yell at me for polefishing while we were bass fishing. Never the less it was the big fish for the day. Now he calls me polefisher.

My wife and 3 daughters would call me an Olecoot when I didnt want to do something they wanted to do or when I would be a little on the grumpy side. Not only is that my Crappie.com name but its on my boat as well as my truck tag.

I have always fished out of RiverHawk Boats. I gave one to my brother Black Cloud and I kept 2 for myself. By the way he came up with his name because of his bad luck. This is pretty cool finding out where all the names originated. Thank you for starting this.

Initially had chosen a username that was taken(spectater) later realized it so I changed name to the activity that when the water starts to "chill" I'm ..."up to"!
