We went to Bass World Lodge near Welaka, Fl. We fished the North end of Lake George and the Georgetown area. We found Shell Crackers at Pine Island on Saturay afternoon and went back to them on Sunday. Every one we caught were males and we thought here they come....Cold front Sunday night and Monday sent them packing. The rest of the week was a bust.

Have not been to Bass World Resort. I checked them out on their website. Did you get your worms & crickets there. Any cabin suggestions. Might have to try them out. Have you booked dates there for your 2018 trip.
Well, part of the trip sounds successful. The Shellcrackers you mention, are you referring to Pine Island Resort on the east side of Lake George. If so, that would have been a 5+ mile run by boat. Have not boated up there this year thinking the Oct hurricane may have messed up that area.
What did you find in the Croaker Hole? Always heard that was where the stripped bass hung out.
We're heading back to Astor on Thursday. Staying at Castaways by the River & fishing Dexter for Shellcrackers & Copperheads.
    Good fishing to ya.
