Had good success in south part of River, Blue Creek & Dexter. The October Hurricane has changed the bottom of the Cow Pen in Lake George according to locals. No fish were caught in the Cow Pen area. Did not fish Juniper creek on southwest side of lake but saw some nice fish back at camp that came from there. Fish camp owner said fishing had been poor due to last Thursday front & river was running south until Sunday. We arrived Monday afternoon. We caught most fish in morning period on wiggles & crickets.
When I figure out how to send pictures, I'll attempt to post.
    Good fishing.

Fish were in pads on both sides of the run between Dexter & Woodruff.
    Yes, Dexter has some pads.
Did not fish Woodruff but heard fish were being caught there.

Hurricane Matthew last October did a number on Easter Lake George bedding areas. It created very high winds from west to east and covered the shell bars with silt. Over at Pine Island Resort, they only have about a foot of water in their entrance canal. It will take a long time to recover. Years ago a Hurricane hit the Sante-Cooper area and it changed the bedding areas for a long long time.

Glad you found them. Lake Dexter area is where we have done very good in the past few years.

Danbo, have you fished out of Georgia Boys Fish Camp this year?
Have not seen you at South Moon in sometime.
Hear the Satilla is somewhat low & hard to fish above Waycross.
    Good fishing to you.

Have not been to Ga Boys this year. Went to South Moon last April. next week we will be at Welaka and fish out of Bass World Lodge. There are more shell bars on the North end of Lake George than on the South End. We will be fishing the West bank and the Bars around Hog Island. I plan to take my partner to the Croker Hole on Wednesday.

By boy went to the Satilla today at Jamestown and he is fishing tomorrow out of the Atkinson Landing back towards the Little Satilla.

Returned back home today to Thomasville. Glade to be back. (You do not want to be on the river during the weekend. Too much traffic & crazy boaters). Spent Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights at "Castaways by the River" in Astor. 10 boats from this area converged on the location. Big League place to stay, first class, upscale from South Moon, though South Moon is our favorite place in Astor, only fishermen stay there. Anyways, about fishing. Fished Dexter & Woodruff for Shellcracker & Copperheads. Wind was notorious, cool front moved through dropping water temp & water level is 1.5-2 feet below normal due to dry conditions in the south Fl area. Fish were not on beds as of yet. Could not fish in lakes due to the wind, but in the mouth of deeper creeks of both lakes. Found fish staged up in 4 to 5 feet of water using pond worms & crickets fished on the bottom. Males were peeing & females full of row when we cleaned them. It was tuff fishing during these days. Perfect time will be today through Thursday next week, if you can be fishing during this period.
Will be at South Moon Fish Camp June 6,7,8, soaking worms & crickets for those Shellie's & Copperheads out on the river & the big lake.
    Good fishing to all.
