    Default Satilla Friday

My boy, Mikebo, called me Thursday and axed me to come down to Waycross and fish the Satilla wid him on Friday. Away I went and we got up and was at the 301 bridge around 7AM. We drift down the Satilla and pitched the banks with a Spin Dandy wid a cricket on the hook. The best color was chartreuse head wid chartreuse/white skirt. We had 50 nice fish by noon and started culling. We stopped at 60 around 230PM. I wanted to ride on down the river to see where the Little Satilla runs into the Satilla and we did. A very beautiful river and worth a trip just to see the black water and white sand.

Thank you for the memories. When my brother lived in Richmond Hill, GA , we fished the Canoochee and Ogeechee on Fort Stewart. Amazing fishing on amazing rivers. Great Fishing and Great Memories. A snake on every branch, wasp nests the size of basketballs, and a gator around every bend in the river. Scary, Dangerous, but Unforgettable.

What a great way to spend a day. Nothing better than family and fishing on south Georgia rivers. I bet those grand kids enjoy the sandbars too. Andy-1Cove
