    Smile bluegills on flyrod

I've been fishing a small lake at a state school. Last week I caught a couple of bluegill one 8.5 inches the other 7.5. Tonight I went back. Caught a few little ones. Brought home one 8 inch and three 7 inch. I was using my four weight rod and a cap's spider. Beautiful evening, great fun.

That's great. I have just started using my 4 wt and haven't caught a gil longer than 7 inches yet.

I use a 7 ft. 4 wgt. with a 3 lb tippet. Only use beadheads. Biggest this year, so far, 11-1/2 inches - male, not on beds.
