Default Hey Disco

Did you try the fly yet. Just wondering if it works down south. I tied a new fly that looks like the Green Weenie with a split tail thats been working great. Its lasting about 100 fish or till you breakoff.

Badcast,

I apologize for the delay on this. I'm very BUSY in the spring and very LAZY the rest of the year, so I just got around to tying and fishing your fly.

It worked fine. I tried it out on a couple of my favorite gill ponds. I was trying to find some spawning gills, but I think I was a little late. So, I didn't get the numbers of gills I had hoped for. I did get six gills and a couple of small bass, though, all on your fly.

I "tweaked" your fly a little: I put a bead head on it for weight. I wasn't sure if you had used lead wire to weight yours or not. Also, the only chenille I had was black and olive. I used the black all day on Saturday.

So -- your fly has now conquered Georgia gills and bass!
