I catch most of my bass while casting for panfish. Most are just inadverant. But I've taken some nice fish.

I'll post a few. The guys in the photos aren't me; they just held the fish while I snapped the pics.

I wish mine were as big on a fly rod, I let them all go though. Every nice sized bass I've caught on a fly rod seem to be darker in color, maybe they got a tan from being near the surface for so long haha.
