Was able to get up to Sanford on Saturday mornin' w/nice results to report. Between the two of us we were able to boat about 35 fish including one shad and several warmouth. Several methods were used including long lining, dabbling and casting. Biggest two weighed in on Chuck's scale at Monroe Harbour at 1.74 & 1.56 lbs (13 3/4 & 13 1/2" respectfully) Largest 7 weighed in at 8.42 lbs. Actually, we took home 19 specks, 1 warmouth and a nice shad that Henry wanted to plant under his favorite rosebush. Used Southern Pro Hot grubs untipped while trollimg and minnows and untipped micro jigs while dabblin' the spawners close to shore.
Just for informational purposes- The Fishers of Men Bass Association had a tournament out of Monroe Harbor Marina this mornin'(Sat) and the winning 5 fish stringer weighed in at 23.97 lbs w/a big fish of 9.17 lbs.!!

Hey !
You keep messin around here, guess I'm gonna have to pull my boat outta dry storage and go find out if you tellin the truth or not !!!
Just sittin here, piddlin in my pie cause I got no job ! (10 mo. till retire).
Wasn't plannin on retiring, but, looks like am being forced to.!
Nice catch ! Whatch'er your name again ????
I've "NEVER" told a lie in my life ! ! !
You got to be kidding me! Great catch! But I was on the St. Johns and Jessup on Saturday morning and we got 2 crappie and I tried everything. We started in Jessup in the morning and was no more than 40 feet away from a boat the was pulling them in left and right and ask him and fishing the same way as him but after 30 minutes got tried of watching him catch fish. So I went on the main lake and tried long lining. Then went into the river and tried a spot Phantom keeps secret and nothing. But by this time it was almost 1 so I quit. But next time im going out with you.
I think I broke my motor on the way back to the ramp too. It was missing a lot on the way back. So once I got it on the trailer I took the cowling off and there was water inside. I got home hooked up the hose and saw it spirting out everywhere. I posted on iBoats forum and some guy said the cylinder head boats are loose so I'm going to order a new gasket and take them loose and replace the gasket and see it that works.
Great report! Looks like it might get better each day. Caught 40 all together, 25 keepers (11" & over) and 15 throw backs. Two 14" ones and plenty of 12" fish. We were using katlin grubs some tipped and some w/trailer hooks. It seemed like red and white were the hottest. Lost a lot trying to get them in the boat. We trolled about 2' deep in 3 to 5 feet of water west of Stone Island. The bite was slow all morning until about 11am then it turned on for a couple of hours then quit again. Can't wait until slabfest. Sorry, you can't read the ruler, but it's on the big 14 inch mark.
