Planned on fishing Talquin Sat. and Sun. Just ordered a fishfinder that should be here Sat. Now I'll finally be able to tell when I'm actually fishing in the channel and if there's even any fish around. Looks like it's gonna get cold again though and probably keep the fishing slow still.
I guess it depends... I personally can't stop spawning just cause I get a little cold, but im not a spec.
That being said I bet it does something to the bite. Probably just means hard fishing ahead. Find them where you can.

I been hoping for the last three weeks that the fish would wake up and start biting......Hope it's this week but I have my doubts because of the weather.......hope I'm wrong this time.............fishing rather than catching.

I am heading down to the Harris Chain this weekend for a week of fishing. I see a cold front is coming this weekend but am I correct next week looks OK? Any reports or help from you guys would be a grat help. thanks
Well, since I'm out of work and bored to death, I'm going crazy not being on the water. But, this front and no doudt water temp going down, I'm staying home for one more weekend to suck-up to the wife. But, those crappie are no doudt getting big bellys and once that water starts to climb just a little---"It's on baby!!!!!!"
Went to Lake Harris this afternoon(after the rain) and caught one. The fronts and the cold have slowed things down.--shu

I'll provide my answer tomorrow evening.
Two of us fished the Stick Marsh. Caught 6 crappie, 3 cats and 3 gills. Not sure if it was the front are we just didn't find them. Maybe a combination of the two.
