Thread: Ballon's

fellow told me he hooks a balloon to the 1st speck he catches in open water,claims it will go back to where the school is and he just keeps up with the balloon.
When he is done he pulls up the fish with the balloon too.
To me that would be kind of desperate, wouldnt it?

Heard it was illegal!!! Who knows???

It is illegal to "attach any type of tracking device to any game fish in order to track or later retrieve the fish". At least that is what it it in Texas. Thought it was everywhere else too.

I dont know if it is legal or not but it ought to be, to me anyway.
I know one thing,I know the local GFC guy that checks the local lakes and Im going to find out next time I see him

tried this on lake monroe a long time ago cuz caught a 2 pounder and did not have a ballon but had a condom blowed it up and attached it to fish we followed it all day and never caught a school of fish but you should have seen some of the faces by other people when that condom floated by their boat

Stumpfinder- That technique/device is only good during the actual spawn phase...if you want to really get some good looks from the onlookers, try puttin' the blow-up doll in the front seat with both hands on the stick-steering!!
