Default Talquin or Cresent this week

Anyone been since Sat? Im thinking about heading to one or both of these this weekend. Figured LTL is booked up already so if I go to Talquin it will be a day trip or stay at the hotel right off of I10. As far as Cresent I have never fished it but I think Im going to try it sometime this weekend since I dont have classes on Friday or Monday. If yall see a camo War Eagle with a mudmotor spidder rigging wave and say hello as that will be me. Happy Trails

    Default Crappie Rehab

Well, I just had surgery two weeks ago on my shoulder. It's past time to "slay" some Talquin crappie. My guess it's the best rehap I can get so I'll be there this weekend. Just look for me and the Golden in our new Fisher boat!

Fished Sunday/Monday/Tuesday Morning at Talquin and had about 15 Keepers (that I kept) each day. The bite was slow and suppose to be windy this weekend but there will be lot's of people at LTL trying to find them.

Lightwire, What was the water temp when you left? It's got to be coming-up.

Most I seen it was 58 degrees in the afternoon. In the morning it's 54/55/56.........just has not warmed up much. Plenty of fish in the channel but they are still deep. Caught a few in the main river and the rest following the channel from Williams to Harvey.

Gee, I didn;t think it would be that high?!?!? Guess thats surface temp and the depth is still below 50's. This little front that is going through may give them lock-jaw this weekend. Also, don;t forget you fished during the full moon if you fished Sun, Mon & Tues. However, just got this boat three days before my surgery so I'll use this weekend to get any bugs out that it may have

TnT, Since I moved here to Tifton, been wanted to try blackshear since it's so close. Fished it a couple of times in the 80's when I was stationed (air force) at Moody but never had much success. Do you ever fish during the week? Since I'm out of work for a couple of months, planning on hitting it some maybe next week if I don't go to Talquin. Would like to meet someone who can point me in the right direction to catch fish there.
