    Default Lake Talquin Whipporwhill Lodge

I have read alot about Lake Talquin Lodge and a couple of others on the lake but never hear much about whipporwhill lodge. I had a friend tell me that the Whipporwhill is a great place to stay. Was wondering if anyone could shed some light on Whipporwhill for me, being that they have no website to see pictures of the property.

Jeff, at The Whip, is a great guy and has a nice place. Like Duck said, it is a little more $$ to stay there, but there is nothing bad to be said about it. PM Chuckauten...he has stayed there a couple of times.

I like Rustys and Ingrams. Stay at Ingrams more than Rustys.

One main advantage of LTL is the tackle shop. Rusty stocks a large assortment of Jigs, Hooks, poles, LEAD, and rods. The whip does have very good food. Always eat there at least once every trip. If you stay at LTL and want to find out where the fish are biting, be at the store early and talk to the locals and Rusty.

I have stayed at whiporwill three weeks this past year. Had a great time and the accomodations were great. A few dollars more that TL and Ingrams. All are great places to stay. At this time of year, you will probally have to try all three to find a room available. This weekend is a big crappie tournament. Everything is booked except RV spaces at Ingrams. With this weather, many people are canceling and some rooms become available.
