Ended up at Lochloosa yesterday and on the water by 9. Fished until 12:15. Never had a pull except for some hydrilla. Talked to a few others on the water and at the dock. They all had ice in their coolers. Other than that, it turned out to be quite a nice day weather-wise by about 10:30-11:00. Ran out of samwiches, went home.

Well, I'm back.
Funny how life can get in the way of fishing. Business, family, health... really takes a chunk of fishing time away.
But we are heading back to Lochloosa in the morning so I thought I would resurrect my old thread.
Recent reports do not sound good but I'll post our results.

No, I haven't been to Lochloosa lately. Been a while actually. Was hoping to get over to Lake Talquin and spend some time with LWH but things keep getting in the way. Last report I heard on Lochloosa was they were around the pads in the northeast or northwest corner. I can't remember which.

Well how did it go? I've been wondering about Lochloosa. Last time I went it was so low I had to get away from the ramp on the trolling motor. Did you launch at Lochloosa Harbor? I heard they did some work to the ramp.

Forgot to update the thread. We changed plans at the last minute and went to Crescent instead. Bad idea. Very few fish and hardly any keepers ( we only keep 12" and over fish). We will be going to Lochloosa next though but Don has to get some Power Poles installed on his boat the first of the week

If you can try that cut between Dead Lake and Cresent and both sides of it. That cut is really deep and the sides slope. There are pads on both ends also. Let us know how it goes. If they're on the beds still that bank out to the right when you leave the ramp should produce some nice fish. If they're deeper troll across the ends of that cut and into it. If the wind stays down for you you should find some fish there this weekend. Call Diane at the bait shop at Bull Creek for a report before you go 386-586-7311. Her dad stays at the campground in the fall and if he's still there he fishes that lake all day every day.
