Sry the pic wan't landscape when I uploaded it.

Tom and I fished Black Creek hard this morning spider rigging jigs with tubes. very slow bite I did catch this 1lb 12oz crappie right off at sun rise and it gave us high hopes for the morning but I guess this one was a loner. All other fish were in the 9 to 10 inch range. I was just wanting to test the new 360 transducer and it was all I hoped for. A lot more fun to watch then the SI. Probable missed a lot of bites watching it. Don

That’s a nice fish for being a loner. Good trip.

Thanks. Black Creek is a really fishy looking creek here in NE Florida off the St John's. I have fished it for 35 years and find it very hard to find fish. Not many crappie fisherman at all most are bass fishing and probably wonder what we are doing spider rigging. Don

I think pontiac65 used to fish it with decent success when he lived over that way, nice fish !!
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

We have found crappies all the way from the mouth to Middleburg just not the numbers we get from Dead Lake and Crescent. Seam to do the best at the St Johns end. Thank it was probably one of our best from the creek. When you start the day out with one like that it gives you great expatiations. Don
