[ATTACHQUOTE=specktacklure;3637911]Nice variety of fish, I've never ate one of those puffer fish but I'd try it[/QUOTE]
Brian- I Congratulate you on your sense of intrigue, adventure and risk-qualified mindset. The poison caveat involves piercing an internal organ(liver/gall bladder? that can contain toxins). Cleaning these guys, somewhat like the catfish, keeps knife blade/tip 100% away from any possibility of tainting the flesh! Only the normal spine bone structure with NO rib bones. If I only had 1 fish to eat, the Northern Puffer caught here in Florida and along the East coast would make the top 4 countdown with Cobia, Snook and Triggerfish. Here's a few attachments from my personal archives. A lot of people are locked into an envelope of operation in their lives which often times include changing habits, lures, techniques. If it gives them comfort and confidence, so be it...I personally, am always looking to build a better mousetrap!
FYI- The blowfish have also earned the more politically correct/commercially valued nametags- Sea Squab, Chicken o' the Sea, Sugar toads etc.
Pics also include porcupine puffer(caught 1 in FL), West coast gator trout, lol.

The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"up2specks thanked you for this post
