That's funny. I have a NEICE, who's first and middle name is Ryan McGee. Nice article, but no relationship.

Fishin 813 has kin that are deep into the racing circuit, that may be who he's referring to.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
His family are in to sprint car racing.
Wear your PFD!!!!!
This is the day the Lord hath made, rejoice and be glad in it.

Trying to spend a little more time with Son /Grandsons kinda back into "racin" again.
I walked away from it 40 yrs ago but son Mike and grandsons have continued.
Son - owns Mike McGhee & Associates Indianapolis - one of largest pool builders in area
Grandson Sammy (17 yr) is owner of Sam McGhee Motorsports (SMM) builds -sets up and crew chief on # 17 World of Outlaw Car. Max McGhee - (19 yr) is driver. Both boys started racing at 4 & 7 - both have achieved many feature wins, in 1/4 midgets - 1/2 midgets along with National Championships - Sam retired from racing at 14, started building cars and
working on setups - now is Chief mechanic on his 410 WOO car. 2017 SMM finished 2nd USAC in national sprint car division, they competed in 45 races plus, coast to coat, loosing championship by 8 points in Calf. on last race
I am super proud of their accomplishments
Ryan McGee no relation to my clan - our name has an H in last name...............

Thanks Mike -
I raced years ago with the Hewitt - Bob Kinser -Opperman - Saldana sr. loved it - just did not have the monies to keep up with them
Same with my sons -Dave & Mike WE made everything - did our own engine rebuilts - suspensions (coil over spring)
We ran Curtiss cars (4 bay suspension) developed our on setups - quick change rearends in 1/4 midgets etc.
Mike over the years worked his sons into same position i had - but had monies to substain their skills - whereas the
boys ( Max & Sammy) became factory racing team drivers ..
As they moved up in world of open wheel racing things really started to happen for both boys - Sammy stopped racing, prefrerred building turning = setting a car up - Max went onto /continued to be a driver - They separtated for 1 yrs due to personal reasons - NOW they are back together - good move on Dads part -
I am so PROUD OF THE BOYS - its unbelieable how much i care - and how things in racing have advanced -
Follow my facebook page or Mike McGhee's page and you will see the equipment they run today vs what i had to deal with in the late 60's.
Just to stay in World of Outlaws program you best be able to substain a million dollor operation- Hauler = 3 cars - plus spare engine - spare parts - tires - crew members - etc
The set up man at track is the number 1 best person going - Sammy at age 17 is unbelieable
I AM PROUD - PROUD LOVE THE BOYS TO DEATH
