I haven't heard from you, but according to the paper, they have been getting some Big shell crackers and blue gills at Saddle Creek on crickets.

Timing and location are two big parts of fishing, especially from shore. Not sure if you want to fish for panfish, bass , catfish?? When the fish are spawning, weekends are pretty crowded at SaddleCreek. There are also a couple of piers you could try, one is on lake Parker, the other is in Winter Haven on Lake Howard. I'm not one for fishing shoulder to shoulder, so I avoid all of the above places mentioned, but you have to do what you have to do.

I think if I was limited to shore fishing, I would take Mike's (Huntingslab's) advice, and check out the Salt fishing. Many places nearby and some with lights and parking for night fishing.

I wish you the best of luck.

Ft Desoto is real good for wading but watch the holes.
