Default Back in the Salttle again

Yes Sir- Gene Autry couldn't have sung it any better! Crystal River was chosen as yesterday's audit site. Nice trout bite w/9 legals from 15-22". When tide changed to strong, incoming I had to change jig size from 1/16to 3/8 which upgraded from 3/0 to 4/0 heavy Matzuo sickle. I also changed to 3" Bass Assassin Chartreuse sparkle body. Glad I did because a legal 33" Cobia decided to test both my stamina and trout tackle. After the 25 - 30 minute chase and 15 net attempts, he finally made it to the eval stge. What an inshore specimen! Largest 22" trout took a dorsal hooked live pinfish 18" below float while in rod holder. I caught the 5" pinfish on a small natural colored Bass Assassin while fishing for trout. Well folks, headed to the panty tonight to get the "House of Autry" breading mix. Sounds appropriate enough to me. Seems like the small Cobia bait choice was the breakfast of "Champions" (Gene's horse). Message of story, disregard theory that Cobia only eat Large lures. Sorry, couldn't fix some pic alignment, after many attempts.

I too wish her the best Danny. My prayers will join with Mikes. My Dad smoked Chesterfield non filters for 35 years, got the beginnings of emphysema and the doc told him "No BS Marty, quit smoking or quit breathing". He never touched another one and was absolutely miserable to be around for a long time. He did live a long time though. I smoked 18 yrs and quit on my 30th birthday. I know about having to change habits and finding something else to do when the urge hits. I'll bet I was no peach either. I'll be thinking of you both.

oh man, now I'm really jealous. Wow, nice catch !!
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
