Default Perch jerkin on the BIG O

Well I managed to get yesterday off work so I moseyed on up to the Big O to do a little perch jerkin. It took me a little bit to find'em but as the water where I've been fishing looked like a yoo-hoo. After running all over the place I finally found decent water around buckhead ridge and went to work. When I arrived at buckhead I had 3 in the well...an hour later I was limited out and left them biting. The fish were stacked in open water off the bullrushes and they wanted the jig. Also if you wanna night fish the river is on fire! My buddies have been hammering them up there. It looked like a carnival last night with all the lights...there were over 40 boats at the mouth of the river alone.

Wow you slayed them. Going to be down there either Feb 10 or Feb 17th. Hopefully they are still biting.

Were you anchored or moving? Problem ive been having last couple times is the wind and keeping the boat straight.

That sounds like a blast. I'll be down to fish with my uncle in Buckhead Ridge from Feb 19th thru the 28. Hope to have a few good days/nights. My fingers are already crossed for decent weather.

    I

I wouldn't be as worried about the weather as much as the wind.
