Great report! Thank you for sharing
Well I'm just reporting on what i saw, i'll bet i could have counted 100 boats from the lake to about a mile upriver.
Met a local guy at the ramp and he went to the lake also. Saw him again when i came in and he did the same thing,
came back in, went up river a few miles and fished there. The only problem with the river is you almost always have
boat wake.

Thank you for the good post .. please what is a bull rush ?
You will hear them called reeds also, but they are the high hollow stems that grow in shallow areas of many FL lakes.
They would be about 4 ft or so high as a rule, and you can motor right up into them in lots of places, especially Okeechobee.
A great place for long single pole jigging, and the very reasonably priced telescopic rods sold at the area tackle shops will work very well for that.
Caught a mess launching out of Slims yesterday!
Dozen nice ones, found em just before had to head in. Tried putting out multiple poles by rushes but couldn't stand it, had to go back to tried and true single polling with minnows around pads!
