I have been crappie fishing like a mad man lately. Yesterday (Saturday) I put my boat in at Lane Park on Lake Harris. I caught 6 specks, and they were all diminutive. I also caught 2 striped bass, unusual for me, and I landed a 3 lb. bass on a jig in the pads. I released all fish again.
Today, I fished Lake Griffin and we caught 11 specks. They again were quite small males. I also had a 5 lb. bass up to the surface, but she surged down with some serious power and alacrity and got off in the pads. When I got home I realized that the bass had taken half of my jig hook with her.

In summation, The Harris Chain is producing small specks for me.
