Went to Lake Monroe with two of my buddies I haven't seen in a long time. Too windy for us, so we found some quite water out of the wind and ended up with 14. Ten of which were over 1 1/2 lbs. Not the best day because of the wind, but the big un's made up for it. Fred and Dave are still arguing over who had the biggest.
Nice 'uns. Like the way they stare into the camera.
I've never fished Monroe before. I like those big gals ya'll are holding up though. Can you impart any advice regarding what part of the lake is the most productive?
Thanks.

If you have good conditions I'd start in 4 to 5' of water along the west or north shore. Stone Island is a good area also this time of the year. Another good area is the mouth of the river where it comes into the lake (east of Sanford). The best indicator is where the boats are congregated.
