    Default Jacksonville New Guy

I just joined here a short while ago and this site seems pretty awesome. I plan to head down to Rodman on Monday since it's supposed to rain Tuesday. If the wind isn't too bad (less than 10 mph) I am going to put in at the campground and try the main pool in front of dam. I have to be cautious and watch the wind since my rig is small. It's a 14' Water Bug square stern canoe with a 6 hp Chrysler with tiller steering.

If the wind is up then I plan to fish off the pier at the spillway for crappie and channel cats.

I'd appreciate any recent info on Rodman and any info on how to fish for them in the main pool.

    Thanks.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm former USAF, '68-72. Fun time for everyone old enough to remember those times. I was luckier than most. I spent my overseas time in Labrador. Spent my free time ice fishing and after ice out, flew into the back country and fly fished for eastern brook trout. It was only years later I realized how fortunate I was to be able to do that since eastern brook trout are practically extinct in the Lower 48.

    Default Rodman Size Limit

Is there a size limit on crappie in Rodman?

Bag limit is 25 daily, 50 in possession?

I couldn't find anything on the Rodman page of the FWC website.

    Thanks.
