Thread: Florida Crappie Assoc. Starts A Southern Division

On feb.27 Florida Crappie Association wil hold its first southern Division tournament of the year. We will be fishing Cypress Lake/Lake Hatchineha. The tournament will go out of Cypress lake Boat Ramp. Fishing is from 7am to 2:30 pm. The rules are the same as last year. We will hold 8 tournaments down this way. You can qualify for Florida Crappie Associations' Big Classic by fishing any four events. Main Division or Southern Division. The cost is $50.00 + $10.00 big fish= $60.00. These are 100% payback events, and there is no membership. There will be 6 southern events plus two combined events. ( one on East Lake Toho and one on West Lake Toho. We hope to spread the club to make it more economical on people to travel and enjoy the sport of torunament crappie fishing. I talked with Darryl this past week. I am going to try to make it on the 27th. I am also hoping to meet up with John Hill. He is right around my neck of the woods. Darryl was as about as nice a fisherman on the phone as you would want to talk too.

Saturday is going to be a rough day, and my fishing buddy has the flu. If the weather was warm and sunny he would probably still go for it, but with it being damn cold, windy, and a high chance of rain, I am sure he is just going to take shots of night quill and sleep til noon.

Whats cooking in the future guys? First weekend in March looks magical.
