    Default I prefer plastic

I prefer plastic even though feathers work well trolling for me also. My favorite are those cheap 6" bass worms at walmart with sickle tails especially the rootbeer color with a chartruese tail. I cut the the worm off just above the tail and enough to thread on the jig head. The sickle tail will create a lot of action even at slow speed more than the grub with a swirly tail. I also like any twin tail plastic. It seems like the more action the better.

    Good luck

How about a jig with both. marabou tail for action at the slightest twitch with a soft body for a realistic feel. I troll them and my buddy will use curly tails and they catch just as many.

Best jig we have used of late is a pink / pink flash Ron's Bite.
