    Question Using Jigs When Fishing

I was wondering about using jigs I use both minnows and jigs. I was trying to see if I should take the weight off of the crappie rig when trolling with two jigs.Or should I leave them on I am catching plenty of fish but I am trying to see if I let the jig head be the weight will it be more effective.

    Thank you and god bless

I pull 2 jigs 1/16oz. on my 12 ft rod and the same on my 9 ft rod with weight placed in between the jigs. I run weights depending on depth and speed. You need to play with it til you get it right for conditions. I'd rather use weights to get the depth I want rather than putting out real long lines.

You can use quarter oz. jigs tied on with loop knots and you shouldn't need extra weights.

I agree with Rawhide.......In the morning/late evenings I just use 2 jigs but during the day, I put a #7 (most Times) between the two jigs........works for me.
