Yes but they have to take a special test and pass it. Were you and I don't. I for one think we all need to have a CDL to even pull a trailer. Way to many out there towing a big camper and not enough truck or driving skill to handle it.

Rawhide I agree with you. That might be my solution, but I would like to have a 5th and hook the boat behind when I go north in the summer. The distance between Talquin and AL is not that far. I have also thought of licensing the units in IN and transfer my residence. Haven't been able to talk to a trooper yet, just one mans opinion. If any of you have a chance to talk to a trooper, ask and get back with us. My post under gerneral had 1700+ views.

That too varies from state to state and approximate the total length of the two vans. At FedEx, they pull two shorter trailers (we call em Pups) on routes between terminals, or for long haul freight. You won't typically see a City Delivery driving with two trailers. I hope you don't get too upset, as it is more the state politicians who are causing the issue.

There are states were FedEx has to stop at the terminal before entering that state and disconnect dual trailers. There are times trucks drive around states to avoid having to go through that process.

Yes to what BenFlo1 said,you dont see double rigs hardly except on the interstate system
I have enough driving problems with little old ladies who cant see over the steering wheel going way under the speed limit and in the passing lane to boot.Or the young girl on her cell phone while putting make up on sitting at a red light in ga ga land.Sure dont need a 75 ft caravan behind these two with me bringing up the rear.Florida .......is becoming the road rage capital fast enough as it is.

you could always pull it to the state line, find a place to leave the boat , continue on then come back and get the boat. i know a guy that did this!
