Default Primitive camping in around Lake Kissimmee?

I want to do a camping/fishing trip in December around Lake Kissimmee. Does any know of any place? I am not looking looking for your typical drive up and camp. Is there any place you can drive boat too and camp?

there are several spots that the airboats will pull up to at night, to wait til its time to frog. But its hard to find unless you have some local knowledge of the lake itself.I would say on the east shore would be your best bet to find one, depending on where you putting in at. The river north also had some nice places until the state decided to screw it up like they do with everything else. The river south of 60 also has lots and lots of good places and its along way to Okeechobee with nothing along the way. That section is called solitude

Thanks for the responses guys! I would like to be able to load the boat up and drive somewhere but Camp Mack might be a good location. I just don't want any one complaining if we are making too much noise at night.

Is the river on the south end have steep banks from them redirecting it or is there easy places to pull the boats up at night?

at the locks on highway 60 there is a boat ramp on the lake side and another ramp below the locks on the river side. There are low banks and high banks, both. There are cuts off the river also that have good areas. Its about 50-60 miles from the lock at 60 to Okeechobee,Im sure you can find something all along there.

As to noise, well an airboat is likely to come by at just about any time near camp mack. We can hear airboats at our state park campsites late into the night.

Most of the land south of the lock is undeveloped private land. Just don't leave a mess, or mess with the cows that are wandering around.

I have pulled off and done some pic nics south of the lock. May have seen one other boat after being parked for about 2 hours during the day. As you can imagine not to many folks drive from kissimeee down to okachobee or vice versa.
