Lake Monroe - Thursday 9/24
Wife and I hit the water at 7:45 this morning and caught one 14" crappie in about 30 seconds right in front of the marina - water is about 9 to 14 feet in the area between the two pvc markers. Cruised over to Stone Island and fished in 7 to 8 feet. Two trolling passes, we caught five in about an hour and a half - all bigger that 12" except one little guy. Also lost one. Used yellow and green jigs - no minnows.
Hot with no cloud cover and wind less that 5mph - water temp 83 to 84 degrees. Pulled up the rods and went in at 10:00.
Trying to prime the pump for the slabfest, we kindly re-introduced all fish to their habitat, so good luck catching them again!

Great report!
Great report!
We went on 9/14 and caught 12 all about a pound and some just over in about 2.5 hrs ( got too hot). Went back on 9/16 caught over 20 same size. Went back on 9/21 and caught 5. All around the Stone Island area. It looks good for slabfest especially with cooler weather moving in next week.
