Thread: SLABFEST Oct. 3, 2009 Lake Monroe

YOU HAVE SPOKEN!!!!!
The first SLABFEST for the 2009/2010 season will be in Sanford, FL at the Downtown Park, October 3, 2009.
We will put in at the marina at your leisure. (ANY TIME YOU WANT) no scheduled start time.
We should plan on being back at the marina no later than 12:00 NOON.
This will give us time to gather up all of the items for the picnic and weigh in and measure the fish and clean for cooking.
Tables will need to be set up. ( table coverings, condiments set out, cookers setup and heating.

ITEMS THAT WE NEED TO SUPPLY

Chime in with the items that you would like to provide and I will note your intentions on the list.

We will need to have someone familiar with the park to request for reservations IF NEEDED, check out availability of water and electric.

I would LIKE to bring a whole bunch of stuff, but not gonna make this one. Good luck to ya and DON'T RILE THE COOK. Hope the fish cooperate.

John- Are you referring to mid-lake at Chuck's bait/tackle on the water where we had a fest last season?

I have the table coverings. Look forward to seeing you all. Up2pecks and I will be on the lake this saturday scouting. Will be in my Carolina skiff. Give us a wave or holler. Arriving at daybreak and probally fishing till the heat runs us off.

looking forward to seeing you agian.
Hope that kev-man can show up and put a hurtin on you again.
The crowd will be on the light side, due to some not getting here until November, but we will have a good time.

Not real sure about now....but Chuck and Butch breezed through here in mid august heading for california to do some hunting I think. I say breezed through, cuz they were gonna stop by, but never heard from them. Do not know if they are back in ol miss or not yet.

I am in California until Oct. 5th. Then I am going back to the farm in Mississippi until late Nov. or early Dec. Will miss this one, but am looking forward to the future ones. Phantom, Kevin is in Sanford, but I don't know if he can fish that Saturday. Call him, his cell number is 407-342-4665.
