Hi guys
what do you think about this boat for fishing Harris chain of lakes and slab fests
2005 Smoker-craft 171 Millentia
thanks and tight lines to all
Doug
Post some pics if you have any.
Is it like the one listed on 'swap meet'? it's almost like my tracker which is a fine boat until it gets windy(really don't like to fish in the wind). Most of the big lakes can get a little breezy.--shu

Saw a Smoker Craft 171 Millentia today at the Fla Crappie Association weigh-in, not at all like the tracker more like a walleye trail boat and as such wouldn't be bothered by the local winds. Nice looking boat.--shu

I copied and pasted the name on my browser and pulled up the factory pics. Really nice boat. Deep V should make the ride a lot easier than a flat tracker. Just make sure you have enough space to mount your rod holders and still sit in the front seat comfy.
Dusty.

If It's stupid but it works, It isnt stupid
Gopher, I don't know your budget but check Craigslist often. Lots of sweet boats in my area now that summer is winding down. Aluminum boats are great in lots of ways, but become hard to control in the wind. I bought a garage queen bass boat for just over $4000 and it's a dream in the wind compared to my 16' jon stick steer w/26hp. The wind doesn't send me packin now.
Wake me up early,
Be good to my dogs,
and teach my children to pray.
