    Default Don't bait your dock

This is what my canned dog food attracted to my dock. I should have just created structure and been patient for the fish to show up. My wife told me not to do it, but I figured for once she might be wrong. He showed up a few days after I put out the dog food and doesn't seem to be planning on leaving anytime soon.

    Default Guard Alligator

I've heard that every dock should have a guard alligator. Don't know why you're out there in the heat anyway -too hot to fish, too hot to go boating, too hot for yardwork -just wait for another month. At least the wife can get a new purse and pair of shoes outta that guy.
Give me a call when you get a chance

AND, let's not forget gator fritters, deep fried tail and the jaws for the top of the tv.
Seriously, If your gonna bait, use that stuff they toss for shad. Brings in all kinds of fish. Shad, crappie after the shad, bass after the crappie.....and of course the toothy ones for all the above.

Just a .22 long rifle with a baby nipple on the end of the barrel so the neighbors don't complain and he will disappear.

throw 2 cans somewhere up wind of your guest for a couple weeks. the worst case you have a nice catfish hole for a while. and even if you built more structure ur gonna invite minnows which invite gator food whither it be birds or specks or bass and the gators are gonna find THEIR food.
I aint here to tell you anything. You want to know what Im doing....pm me and meet me on the lake.

    Default He's still here!

He's still here! He passes up and down the docks about 25 yards out and when you walk toward the dock or the edge of the lake he stops and swims right up to the dock and just faces you. This was about as close as he has come. I don't think the dog food has anything to do with it. I think someone is feeding him somewhere. I know he's not hurting anything but it still is an uneasy feeling knowing that he is that brazen. My question is: will the game division remove him as a nuisance gator. I live on the north shore of Lake Dora. It's not like it is a small lake or pond. Any sugestions? I believe he's about 9 to10' long.
